Over three thousand years ago, a war between two powerful alien civilizations took place on earth. The Tolevine people, who had many special abilities, won against the evil Sanaturopeople, but not before the Sanaturo eradicated almost the entire Tolevine population. The remaining few knew they wouldn’t survive, so they gave their powers as gifts to some of the humans who had helped them during the war. As the years wore on, the humans passed these powers onto their children. Stories and legends of these people have been passed on for centuries, and they have been given the name “superheroes”.
Stonewell High is a school specifically designed for these “superheroes”. Founded in 1923, it has earned a well-deserved reputation for both fostering academic excellence and training these young heroes to better their abilities.
The war isn’t really over, however. The Sanaturo people didn’t die out completely. Many disguised themselves as humans and interbred with them until they had similar powers to those the humans had been given. But they’ve never forgotten their origins. Who knows how many Sanaturo students - even teachers - may be hidden within the school?

The year is 2173, technology is so advanced that a man named Christopher Stamos managed to invent a system that could bring people back in time, to re-do everything for the past year. To try out the system, he needed a few people, coming from different backgrounds and had different reasons and mistakes. He asked the whole world, whoever was interested, to submit a journal entry; what they have done wrong, why did they do it, and how repentant they will be. Out of the 2,913,081 journals that were submitted, 25 were chosen. These people were hand-picked for special reasons, by Mr Stamos himself. The system was launched on New Years’ Eve, and when it striked 12, it would be 2173 all over again, for everybody. However, only the 25 chosen ones are able to change what they have done wrong. Will they make use of the second chance, or have yet another round of regrets?

They wish that they killed Klaus when they had the chance to, but now, a few months down the line, he’s stronger and want’s more than just the doppelgänger blood. He wants revenge and will do anything to get it. Who’s brave enough to stop him? Maybe it will be the Salvatores, or one of his own brothers, Kol. Or perhaps Derek Hale could kill him, the new guy wolf in town? After all, new residents in town always changes things. Especially how Tatia is yet to make an appearance.
